Romsey Probus Club Home

Probus Clubs form a worldwide network to provide regular gatherings to those that are retired or semi-retired businessmen and professionals who, in retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances, with like-minded interests.

We are a non-political, non-sectarian all-male social club, founded in 1985 and draw our members from in and around Romsey. We endeavour to provide opportunities for meeting new friends, enjoying conversation and listening to talks on a wide variety of subjects. See our Programme for the current year.

Although a men’s club, there are separate events each month in which members’ wives and partners can participate. These include visits to historical houses, gardens, museums and other interesting and attractive establishments. In addition, we hold light-hearted sporting events including croquet, skittles and indoor kurling. There are also periodic coffee mornings, a combined Ladies/Men Summer Lunch and a Christmas Lunch.

When we meet - On the first Wednesday of each month

Where - Wellow Golf Club, Romsey, SO51 6BD (view map)

What time - Members arrive at 11.30 for a 12:00 start.

Our meetings include a finger buffet lunch, preceded by a guest speaker for a talk of around 45 minutes covering a wide variety of interesting topics.

We all have a lot of fun at Romsey Probus Club, so why not join us at one of our meetings sometime? Just go to the Contact page to get in touch with us. If you are interested in joining, you will be welcomed as a guest for two meetings, at which point you can then decide if you'd like to join.

Please note, we are not a fundraising organisation, members pay a small half-yearly subscription to cover the club’s outgoings.
